A Free Diver Was Taken By A Riptide And What Happens Next Is Incredible

We've been taught to fear riptides and underwater currents. They're all-consuming. Their power is unmatched when you're caught off guard by the ocean. But what if you could harness them for good?

Filmmaker Julie Gautier and freediver Guillaume Néry recently collaborated to make an amazing short film that depicts the strange beauty of movement underwater. For the film, entitled "Ocean Gravity," they decided to capture Néry deep under water near the Tuamotu
Archipelago in French Polynesia, at the Tiputa Pass in Rangiroa.

The film shows Néry as an underwater current guides him effortlessly across the ocean floor. It's mesmerizing to watch, serving as an incredible example of the strange characteristics of life deep in the ocean.

This makes me want to experience ocean currents for myself. The currents run for thousands of miles around the world, and it's awesome to see someone getting to swim in one of these natural wonders.

Security Cameras At Disneyland Caught Something Bizarre On Film...Unbelievable

It's a well known fact that there are some creepy Disneyland urban legends. One of those legends is that the park is haunted by various ghosts, including the ghost of Walt Disney himself.
A few years ago, security cameras at the park allegedly caught one of these ghosts walking around at night. The quality of the video is not great, but you can clearly see there is something there that should not be.

Take a look for yourself below. It's chilling.

The Real (And Horrible) Sea Creatures These People Discovered Will Give You Chills

When you're a fisherman, you can expect to see some pretty crazy things while out at sea. Sure, the bobbing blue of the ocean might get tedious after a while, but the stuff you pull from its depths can be nothing short of shocking.
Recently, Garry Warrick of South Australia reeled in a mean-looking fish that had two mouths...but that's not the weirdest thing that popped out of the deep ocean. These other creatures have either been caught by anglers or washed ashore...and they're all a little more than creepy

1. Goblin Shark

The Goblin Shark is a deep-sea shark that can grow to well over 20 feet in length. It is called a ‘Goblin Shark’ because it looks super freaky, what many think a goblin might look like. It has crazy long evil teeth and a big horn thing on top of it’s head. This creepy shark was caught by fisherman outside of Australia. It's rare to see a goblin shark near the surface, since usually this creature lives near the bottom of the ocean

2. A giant oarfish

This large, serpent-like fish is also a deep sea dweller. It is rare to see, but in the past 5 years there have been multiple instances of these fish washing ashore.

3. A South American pachu fish

This frightening fish that was caught has been known to feed on the testicles of those who go into its territory. Not only that, but this one in particular was found in Michigan. Not South America.

4. The giant Lion's Mane jellyfish

From time to time, jellyfish wash ashore. However, it's rare to see one like THIS, the giant Lion's Mane jellyfish. (Important note: the Lion's Mane is one of the largest jellyfish in the world.)

5. A lancetfish

Lancetfish typically stick to the open ocean...and you should be glad they do. (Just look at those razor-sharp teeth.) However, a fisherman in North Carolina was able to pull this terrifying beauty in. Don't worry, though. The fish is a known cannibalistic species, so at the very least, it would probably avoid humans. Probably.

Another amazing discovery was made, statue of Buddha is actually a mummy.

Mummy in 12th century bouddha statue

CT scan reveals that statue of Buddha is actually a mummy Last year the statue was released from China for the first time. It was put on display on Drents Museum in Netherlands. Later it was taken to Meander Medical Center where it received a CT scan and clearly showed a mummified body inside. An endoscopy was performed which revealed that the body was of Buddhist master Liuquan of the Chinese Meditation School. Another amazing discovery was made, within the mummy where there once were organs paper scraps imprinted with ancient Chinese characters were found. Samples of bones were taken for DNA testing and the research will be published in a monograph. The mummy is currently visiting Hungary and will be on display at the Hungarian Natural History Museum until May 2015.
